Speaker: Larry Hull will speak to us about the Fair Tax Initiative (HR-25)
Larry Hull is a 54 year-old native of NC from Tarboro, NC and has lived in Raleigh since 1976, when he graduated from UNC-CH. He has an 18 year-old son who will be starting this fall at NCSU. He has 25 years experience as a Certified Financial Planner, but these days he is involved in buying, rehabbing and selling residential real estate. Larry was a member of Toastmasters International for about eight years and is a volunteer reader for Triangle Radio Reading Service. He has been a volunteer speaker for the FairTax a little over two years now.

Annual Rotary Fishing Trip
This trip will take place in the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia. Anyone interested in going should contact Charles McLaurin (ccmclaurin@bellsouth.net). More than 5 fisherman will require an extra boat!

Britt Crews - 9 ½ years managing the Garner Historic Auditorium, Garner.
10 years on the board of Cinema, Inc., Raleigh; the last 4 years as Corresponding Secretary. Also introduce the films each month before the screening.
Britt been a curator for 3 years at the Cape Ann Museum; worked in the education department giving tours at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston and taught art history at Northeastern University.
5 years held a board position, directed children’s theatre productions and the summer theatre camp, Fort Smith Community Children’s Theatre, Arkansas.
5.5 years assistant director, Fort Smith Art Center, Arkansas.
“Welcome to America” Cookout for Exchange Student Christoph Hoehring
The Angier Rotary Club, who is partnering with our club to bring German exchange student Christoph Hoehring to East Harnett County High School, is hosting a cookout event to welcome him to town on Sunday, August 24th from 4-6:00pm (changed) at Angier Park (located just east of Rt. 55 on Rt. 210 in Angier). Fuquay-Varina Rotary Club members are encouraged to attend. Christoph has been here since Saturday evening, and begins school on Monday in Angier. Tina Seldin Cash. She is one of three hosts for the N.C. lottery drawings on WRAL and WRAL-TV.com. Tina has worked as WRAL-TV's Money Desk anchor/reporter from 1984-1991. She spent 15 years in television before working in marketing and now focuses on music. Ms. Cash has been a luminary of sorts from Tallahassee to Atlanta to Raleigh and has been a resident of the Fuquay-Varina area for almost 20 years. She will be entertaining us with words and song...
